Câu trả lời mẫu cho Speaking

Part 1 – Can you describe the place where you live?I live in a small flat in an apartment building in Hanoi. It isn't big, but it's in a convenient location: my office and a supermarket are both within walking distance. What I like most is that it's a peaceful neighbourhood, so I can sleep well at night.
Part 2 – Where should a first-year student live: in a dormitory, a rented room or with relatives?I'd recommend the dormitory. It's cheap and close to the lecture halls, and living with other students helps newcomers make friends quickly. Renting a room gives more privacy, but the rent and utility bills are higher. Staying with relatives saves money, but the student might not become independent, and the house may be far from the university.

Câu mẫu cho Writing Task 2

  • Living in a small family allows parents to enjoy more privacy, but children may have fewer chances to learn from their grandparents.
  • In an extended family, three generations live under the same roof and support one another.
  • Young people who live on their own learn to look after themselves, although they sometimes feel lonely.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

"Flat" và "apartment" khác nhau không?

Cùng nghĩa: flat là cách nói của Anh, apartment là cách nói của Mỹ. Dùng cách nào cũng được, miễn là nhất quán trong một bài.

Speaking hỏi "Do you live in a house or a flat?" thì trả lời sao cho đủ ý?

Trả lời thẳng, rồi thêm 1–2 chi tiết (tầng mấy, mấy phòng, vị trí) và một cảm nhận (thích gì, muốn thay đổi gì). Xem 5 kỹ thuật phát triển ý.
